ReFi Summit 2023 Update

We hosted the first ReFi Summit in 2022 and brough more than 100 projects and several hundred participants for the first-ever dedicated Web3 + Regenerative Finance summit here in Ballard, Seattle.

Then 2022 happened. Everything imploded. The market collapsed. Verra shut off access to the crypto market and things sort of … cooled off a bit.

But now we are back. Jobs numbers are roaring. DAOs and Network States are exploding. Venture Capital seems healthy and the conversation has evolved. Energy, Tokenized Realworld Assets, Standards and Certifications are rising along with advancements in the sophistication of Decentralized Governance (DAOs) and even talk of Network States.

We are all bit poorer than maybe we were at the end of 2019, but the movement itself is still strong. And bringing ReFi Summit back has been a bit more complex than we had initially imagined.

It is now common for satellite events to be hosted focused on ReFi at major crypto conferences. There are numerous ways to meet both online and offline, so we are evolving our format.

Here is the deal:

• ReFi Summit 2023 will by Hybrid
• We are booking the same venue in Ballard
• The event will be 2 days prior to Memorial Day Weekend
• We will offer a sponsored dinner the evening before the event
• We will have talks, ignite pitches and panels focused on Renewable Energy, Carbon, DAOs & Governance, Standards & Certifications
• There will be unstructured time

We will pair things back a bit:

• $300 tickets to attend which will cover food and the venue
• We will broadcast the whole thing live in real time
• Attendees are welcome to join in person and participate for in-person brainstorming and unconference portions of the event
• The event will be more hybrid than last year

So thats the deal. I am working on releasing an open book budget and slide deck. ReFi Summit is coming back, with some modifications!
